i.Information we collect

CivBites does not require an account, ask for your name or email, or request access to your contacts, photos, location, microphone, camera, calendar, or any other personal data. The app does not log your activity inside it. There is no telemetry. There are no behavioral analytics.
ii.Internet connections
CivBites does not require an internet connection to function. Once installed, the app runs entirely offline. All chapters, lessons, quiz questions, and graphics ship inside the app bundle.
The app makes no network requests of its own. It does not phone home, ping a server, or load remote content. The internal lesson reader has JavaScript explicitly disabled and only renders HTML and CSS that ship with the app.
iii.Third-party services
CivBites uses no third-party analytics, no advertising networks, no crash-reporting SDKs, no tracking pixels, and no embedded social media. There are no third-party software development kits in the app at all.
iv.Apple's role
When you download CivBites from the App Store, Apple may collect information about you in accordance with their own privacy policy. That data — purchase history, App Store activity, anonymous crash reports — flows between you and Apple, not to us. We do not receive personally identifying information from Apple, and we do not request any.
If you opt in to share anonymous crash data with developers through your device settings, Apple may forward de-identified crash logs. These logs do not contain personal information.
v.Children's privacy
CivBites is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no information from any user, we collect no information from children. The app contains no advertising, no in-app messaging, no social features, and no external links beyond the standard App Store and developer-contact mechanisms managed by Apple.
vi.Sharing & selling
We have no information about you to share or sell. We have not, do not, and will not.
vii.Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and similar laws elsewhere, you have rights regarding personal data a company holds about you. CivBites holds no personal data about you, so there is nothing to access, correct, port, restrict, or delete.
If you ever have questions about what data exists, the answer is the same: none.
viii.Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes — for example, if we add a feature that requires data collection — the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and prior users will be notified through the app's update mechanism. The current version is always available at the canonical URL where you found it.
