Frequently Asked Questions

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Sign in to the same Apple ID you used when you bought the unlock, open Locked-In, then go to Settings → Restore purchases. Apple's StoreKit will reactivate your unlock at no charge.

I tapped "Unlock" but the purchase didn't go through. What now?

First, try Settings → Restore purchases. If that doesn't help, check that your Apple ID is signed in and that you have a valid payment method on file. If the issue persists, email OmarAppSupport@gmail.com with a brief description and I'll help sort it out.

How do I reset all my progress?

Go to Settings → Reset all progress. This clears lesson progress, bookmarks, notes, streaks, and quiz history. This action cannot be undone, so use with care.

Does Locked-In work offline?

Yes. Every lesson, question, flashcard, and the full mock exam runs entirely offline. No internet connection is required after the initial download.

What's in the free tier versus the paid unlock?

The free tier is 14 of the app's 142 lessons: the six lessons of Core 1 Domain 1's first topic, plus the first lesson of each of the 9 domains. Quizzes are capped at 10 questions per session, PBQ practice is a two-question preview, the flashcard deck is limited to the Core 1 Domain 1 cards, and the mock exam is locked. The glossary is free for everyone.

The one-time $9.99 unlock opens all 142 lessons across both Core 1 (220-1201) and Core 2 (220-1202), quiz sessions of 15, 25 and 50 questions instead of the free 10-question cap, all 15 PBQs, all 82 flashcards, and the 90-question timed mock exam. The 135-question practice bank is not itself restricted — free sessions draw from all of it, just fewer questions at a time.

Why can't I run a 25- or 50-question quiz on a single domain?

A quiz can only be as long as the pool it draws from, and no single domain holds that many questions — the largest is Core 1 Domain 2 (Networking) at 21. So 15 is the longest single-domain session, and the 25- and 50-question sizes appear when you choose All domains, which draws from the full 135-question bank. The setup screen shows the pool size for whichever domain you pick.

Will the content be updated for new exam versions?

Locked-In currently targets the 220-1201 and 220-1202 exam objectives. If new versions of the A+ exam are released, I'll evaluate updating the app at that time.

I think a question or explanation is wrong. How do I report it?

Please email OmarAppSupport@gmail.com with the question text or lesson title and a short note on what you think is off. Accuracy matters, and I take corrections seriously.

Is my data tracked?

No. The app collects zero data and contains no third-party analytics or tracking. See the Privacy Policy for full detail.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not the developer. Request a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com.

I have a feature request. Will you build it?

Maybe! Email me. I keep a running list of requests and will prioritize what helps the most learners.
